On the Northern Lights Exploration tour, you will focus on finding the perfect location to witness the magic of the Northern Lights and the dark arctic sky. You will travel in small groups, no more than 16 passengers. To go into the dark, frozen winter night and observe an unbelievable display of colour, light and texture, is like waking up in a fairy-tale, full of mystery and magic. You will be picked up at your hotel and driven out to the countryside or up to the mountains, away from electric glow and city sounds. You will be able to enjoy the beautiful night sky at the best possible situation, of course depending on the weather.
The Northern Lights, or the Aurora Borealis, are a natural phenomenon visible in the Northern Hemisphere. A unique display of light caused by a particle collision in the magnetic field of the polar cap.
The Golden Circle Tour highlights Iceland’s main attractions. Visit historical locations such as Þingvellir National Park and Skálholt Church in addition to beautiful sites such as Gullfoss Waterfall and Geysir Hot Spring. Local guides will share their knowledge and insights on the history and geology of the area, enhancing your experience and understanding of the area. Small group tour.
The Blue Lagoon. Enjoy a relaxing visit to The Blue Lagoon Geothermal Spa, a must stop for all guests of Iceland. Spend about one and a half to two hours in the Blue Lagoon before heading back to Reykjavík. (Entrance ticket to the Blue Lagoon and return transfers included.)
Join the shuttle transfer from your hotel to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
Your Holiday Hotels
This hotel really could not be better located, right in the centre of Reykjavik's old town and just around the corner from Parliament Square. It could, indeed, be said that it is located right on the spot where Reykjavik began its history; during the building of the hotel archaeological remains were discovered which were part of the original settlement, and these are on display in a mini-museum in the hotel's basement. The medium-sized rooms are among those of the highest quality in Iceland. They are very modern in terms of facilities, but with charming traditional touches. Both the rooms and the bathrooms are in exceptional condition. This is really a magical property constructed with imagination and an eye for detail. The architectural and building conversion work have been done by a company well-known for its expertise in the restoration of historic Icelandic buildings. The hotel's location and historical provenance are arguably unbeatable. It comes highly recommended.
