Day 1
Fly direct to Rome. On arrival Join the shuttle transfer to your hotel where you will spend 3 nights.

Day 2
Rome: Where better to start your Rome experience than the Colosseum, possibly the most iconic and impressive ancient monument to symbolise Rome? Continue to the Roman Forum where you can walk amongst the architectural ruins that once served as the centre of political, commercial and judicial life in ancient Rome.

Day 3
Rome: Enclave of the holy see and a separate sovereign state since 1929, visiting the Vatican City is an experience that should make it on to every Rome itinerary. Across the Tiber discover the beautifully flamboyant baroque architecture of the Trevi Fountain and the Piazza Navona.

Day 4
Make your own way to the Termini railway station for the journey by rail to Florence where you will spend 2 nights. (Journey time is approximately 1.5 hours and there is a choice of departure times.)

Day 5
Florence: Visit the Uffizi Gallery, the Galleria dell'Accademia & the Duomo. Stroll across the Ponte Vecchio or if you prefer to take things easy head to the Boboli Gardens for some tranquil respite from the buzz of the city.

Day 6
Make your own way to the Santa Maria Novella railway station for the journey by rail to Venice where you will spend 2 nights. (Journey time is approximately 2 hours and there is a choice of departure times)

Day 7
Venice: Don't miss St Mark’s Basilica, the Doge’s Palace, the Rialto Bridge and the Bridge of Sighs.  Ride on a water bus along the Grand Canal to experience the sights and sounds of Venice’s busiest waterway.  Take any turning off one of the main thoroughfares and just lose yourself in the network of alleyways, relishing the serenity of a city devoid of cars.  

Day 8
Make your own way to the airport for the return flight to the UK.(Instructions on how to reach the airport using public transport will be provided.)

Our opinion... Lovely little hotel in an ideal location for exploring Rome.

Location... This historic hotel is situated in the centre of Rome, just 5 minutes from Termini railway station and less than 1 km from tourist attractions such as the Colosseum, the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps. 

Accommodation... All rooms are served by the lift and are bright and welcoming. Room amenities include air conditioning with individual temperature control, electronic safe, satellite TV, internet connection, telephone, minibar, sound proofed doors and windows and private bathrooms with hairdryer.

Facilities... The hotel has a breakfast room. The surrounding area is filled with cafes and restaurants.

Transport... Subway station 200m from the hotel.

Delle Nazioni

Our opinion…Bright, welcoming and modern in style, this is a great base from which to explore the city.

Location... Hotel Delle Nazioni is next to Florence Santa Maria Novella Station and a 10-minute walk from Florence Cathedral.

Accommodation…87 en suite rooms offer all the amenities you would expect.

Facilities…Breakfast room and American style bar/lounge.

Transport... A bus stop 200 metres from the hotel has services to the Ponte Vecchio and the Uffizi Gallery. The Fortezza da Basso is a 15-minute walk away.

Our opinion… The Hotel Hesperia provides an excellent, personalized service, thanks to the fact that the owners are always present, and available to give their constant care and attention to the needs of their guests.

Location… The hotel is situated in the historic centre, looking onto the Canale di Cannaregio.

Accommodation… Rooms are furnished with care in a modern style, but still maintain a typical Venetian look. All the rooms have a private bathroom and are equipped with all modern conveniences such as telephone with direct outside line, satellite TV, air-conditioning with individual control, central heating, mini-bar, safe, hair-dryer and Wi-Fi internet connection.

Facilities… Breakfast rooms and lounge. There is also a splendid terrace, from where you can watch the hustle and bustle of daily Venetian life.
