Day 1
Fly direct to Barcelona. On arrival join the transfer to your hotel where you will spend 3 nights.

Day 2
Barcelona: There is plenty to discover in Barcelona. The wide tree-lined boulevard La Rambla is Barcelona's unique, lively and colourful boulevard packed day and night with buskers, living statues, flowers, birds, newspaper stands and bookstalls. Even if architecture is not your thing, you can't fail to be impressed by the unusual and exciting style of Catalan architect Antoni Gaudi, examples of which are found all over the city. His trademarks are unusual shapes and multi coloured tiling said to reflect natures curves and angles.

Day 3
Barcelona: You will no doubt want to explore the narrow streets of Barcelona’s famous Barri Gòtic (Gothic Quarter). Cameras at the ready as you discover the magnificent La Seu Cathedral, beautiful churches of Santa Maria del Mar and Santa Maria del Pi and the Museu Picasso. If you feel like an escape from the buzz of the city, head to the truly unique Parc Güell, a UNESCO World Heritage Site,  with Gaudí’s mark firmly stamped across it. You are in for a visual treat as you find yourself engulfed in enchanting colours and surrealism.

Day 4
Make your own way to the railway station for the journey by rail to Madrid. Depart 1100 arrive 1345.

Day 5
Madrid: This is a city that works hard but also likes to play hard. Throw yourself into cultural enlightenment with a trip to the museums of the "Golden Triangle" , namely the Prado, Reina Sofia and Thyssen-Bornemisza before behaving like a local and staying up until the early hours as you hop between bars feasting upon delicious tapas.

Day 6
Madrid: Start the day gently with a trip to the Buen Retiro Park which is popular with madrileños and tourists alike. Take a boat out for a row on the lake, Centred round the majestic Alfonso XII monument, the park blends formal French-style gardens with natural landscapes. Highlights include its stunning glass palace, the Palacio de Cristal; a Rose Garden complete with its statue of Satan, The Fallen Angel; and a carved mural of Dantés Inferno.

Day 7
Join the transfer from your hotel to the airport for the return flight to the UK.
