Day 1
Fly direct to Pisa. On arrival join the transfer to your hotel where you will spend 1 night.

Day 2
Pisa: Take time to visit the Leaning Tower, one of Italy's trademark sights before making your way to the railway station for the journey by rail to Lucca where you will spend 2 nights. (Journey time approximately 30 mins.)

Day 3
Lucca: Enclosed within well-preserved Renaissance city walls, Lucca’s historic quarter is a delight to explore. Amble along the cobbled streets and explore the elegant piazzas. Broad, tree-lined pathways along the tops of the massive 16th and 17th century ramparts have become a pedestrian promenade and one of Lucca’s main attractions.

Day 4
Make your own way to the railway station for the journey by rail to Florence where you will spend 4 nights. (Journey time 1hr 20mins.)

Day 5
Florence: The city is very much akin to a living, breathing museum. Every step reveals a treasure from Florence's long and colourful history. The Cathedral of Santa Maria del Fiore, known as the Duomo, is a Gothic masterpiece. The magnificent dome, built by Brunelleschi, dominates the Florentine skyline and boasts wonderful panoramic views over the city.

Day 6
Florence: The undisputed jewel in Florence's crown has to be the Uffizi Gallery. The Uffizi boasts the world's finest collection of Renaissance art, bestowed upon the city by the mighty Medici family and has been on display to the public since 1591. 

Day 7
Florence: For a change of scene, make for the picturesque Ponte Vecchio which straddles the River Arno and is one of Florence's most iconic landmarks. Browse the jewellery sellers, art dealers and souvenir shops before continuing on to the Palazzo Pitti, the one time residence of the Pitti Family in the 15th century but now home to several of the city's museums. A stroll in the neighbouring Boboli Gardens would make a pleasant end to the day.

Day 8
Make your own way the Santa Maria Novella railway station where you will join the airport bus to Pisa airport for the return flight to the UK.

Our opinion… The hotel prides itself on its family atmosphere. Staff will go out of their way to make your stay an enjoyable one.

Location… Ideally located with all of Pisa’s attractions reachable on foot.

Accommodation… Rooms are simply furnished. Facilities include en-suite bathrooms with hairdryer and toiletries, free WiFi, Sky TV, centralised heating and air-conditioning.

Facilities… In addition to a breakfast room, the Hotel has a TV room with a large-screen TV and an American-style bar.

Transport… 100 metres from Pisa Centrale railway station.

Our opinion... Excellent three star hotel, ideally situated.

Location... The hotel is located near to the ancient city walls and the historic town centre.

Accommodation... The rooms of the hotel are comfortable and well-equipped with all modern accessories.  In addition to normal comforts each room is equipped with a safe (big enough for a laptop computer) and a charging point positioned on the wall for electronic items.
Facilities... Guests have the use of the open air swimming pool. The terrace is always ready to offer guests a quick snack or simply to relax with a glass of wine or beer. Towelling robes and towels can be hired from reception. The corner bar is always open, wi-fi connectivity is offered throughout, and bikes are available to hire.

Our opinion… An elegant nineteenth-century building in the heart of an ancient city

Location… The hotel is located in the heart of the ancient city, in San Lorenzo, just a few hundred meters from the railway station. In the surrounding area you will find the famous market as well as many traditional restaurants.

Accommodation… All rooms were recently renovated and now contain terracotta flooring and brand new tradtional wooden Italian furniture. Facilities include air conditioning, hairdryer, television and mini bar.

Facilities… Breakfast room, lounge and bar.

Transport… Very close to the main railway station.
