Day 1: Fly direct to Budapest. On arrival join the private transfer to your hotel where you will spend 3 nights.

Days 2-3: Budapest.
Day 4: Make your own way to the railway station for the journey by rail to Vienna where you will spend 2 nights. Depart 1140 arrive 1421. (Ticket included.)
Day 5: Vienna
Day 6: Join the private transfer from your hotel to Vienna for the direct flight to Amsterdam. Depart Vienna 1605 arrive Amsterdam 1805. Make your own way to your hotel where you will spend 2 nights. (The easiest way to get from the airport to the centre of Amsterdam is by rail. Tickets can be purchased locally.)
Day 7: Amsterdam
Day 8: Make your own way to the airport for the return flight to Edinburgh.

Our opinion… This is one of the best 4* hotels in Budapest and perfect for anyone wanting to experience the boutique hotel vibe. 

Location... Só utca 6, 05. Fantastically well located just off the popular and famous Vaci street with its great choice of shops, bars and restaurants. It is also just meters away from the Danube and is next to all of the city's best transport links.

Accommodation…The 74 rooms are retro in style with slick wooden furniture, comfortable beds, a carpeted floor and a table and chair. All rooms have smart minimalist en-suite bathrooms with shower and hair dryer and the rooms have telephone, satellite and pay-per-view TV, high speed internet access, air-con, mini bar, safe, sound proof windows, tea and coffee making facilities and good wardrobe space.

Facilities… Bistro, cafe & bar serving breakfast, snacks, pastries and drinks.

Transport... Close to public transport

Our opinion… 18th Century building, located in the heart of Vienna, on a quiet road just off the famous Graben shopping area.

Location… Dorotheergasse 3, 01. Innere Stadt. This hotel is within walking distance of Plague Column, St. Stephen's Cathedral, and Spanish Riding School. Also nearby are Austrian National Library and Hofburg Imperial Palace. This hotel offers one of the best locations in Vienna.

Accommodation… 52 bedrooms decorated in a tradition al style and in excellent condition.

Facilities… Guest can enjoy a delicious Italian meal at the hotels restaurant Trattoria Santo Stefano.

Transport… St. Stephen’s Cathedral and the Stephansplatz Underground Station are just a 2-minute walk away.

Die Port Van Cleve

Our opinion…Traditional hotel with a great, central location just across from Dam Square and adjacent to the popular Magna Plaza Shopping Centre.

Location... Behind the Royal Palace, close to the lively Dam square. The Anne Frank House is a 7-minute walk away.

Accommodation…122 comfortable, modern furnished rooms.

Facilities… The famous 'Die Poort' restaurant with adjoining café is full of character and legendary for its steaks, which since 1870, they have served with a token showing what number steak it is to be served.
