Hotel was vey good as well welcoming. Staff were always very helpful and polite. The restaurant was well presented & clean. Food excellent. Plan to return again in the year. Well connected to all transport links. We really enjoyed the holiday.
On a quiet side street close to the parliament building, the hotel is well situated for local restaurants and, by moderate walk or a short tram ride, the city centre.
The hotel was lovely, smart & modern & the only complaint is that it was too hot. The air conditioning didn't make any difference. The staff were friendly& helpful, particularly Brigitta who was running the bar while we were there. The breakfasts were fair, but the cooked food was only like warm - there were no lids on the serving dishes. The location was good, within easy reach of the metro & hop on hop off buses.
Excellent location. Couldn't fault hotel at all. Would recommend it.
An excellently appointed hotel however it is not as close to the major sites as other Cities Direct hotel. Could be an issue for less mobile clients.
Reception at Marmara Hotel very helpful, especially concerning chargers for phones etc. Also helpful with directing me places and ordering a taxi for the airport for me.
Smallish room, only English news channels on TV unless you paid extra for films. Air con did not work and on complaining nothing was done.
Very good location, helpful staff. Room a bit small and stuffy.
The hotel is in a good location with easy access to sights and transport. The breakfast was too repetitive and limited. The room had a little kettle and mugs provided but no tea or coffee which was strange.
The staff were charming and helpful. Wifi was free but was non-existent in the bedroom.
The hotel definitely 4 star. Very clean - staff excellent, very helpful. The location couldn\'t be more central. Excellent value for money.
• Room was on the small side.
• Breakfast was \'continental\' - lacking in fried eggs, bacon, fried tomatoes etc.
• All staff were polite and helpful.
• Hotel was clean tidy
• Bathroom good size & clean.
No tea or coffee in room, if you wanted them there was a charge. Also charged tourist tax on departure. Toaster not working very well at breakfast.
Very good, just a few things - like they didn\'t wash our cups/glasses & no tea/coffee in room, but otherwise excellent just a very minor thing.
A pleasant basic hotel, good value form money.
Lovely modern hotel, very clean, bedroom excellent facilities, toiletries, hair dryer, mini bar, safe. Only negative - very hard mattress! only able to sleep by rolling up duvt under neath us. Location brilliant for all sites.
This is a lovely hotel in a good location in Budapest. Staff were helpful, the room was very good and the breakfast choices were lovely.
Decent location, close to transport links & restaurants. Clean & tidy room with good it con. Breakfast underwhelming - cooked elements unappetising. Certain staff lacked courts, but the rest were friendly.
The hotel was in a great location - it was quiet - the bedroom was very comfortable dining area was bright and airy and a good selection for breakfast, very pleased all round.
Hotel very good. Staff at front desk poor.
For us we found it just a bit too far away from centre. Would suggest before staying here research public transport. For a four star hotel there wasn\'t a restaurant and the breakfast was very basic. Bedrooms were adequate and the staff were very friendly and helpful.
Good value for money. Location & breakfast very good. Bed & shower adequate. No tea/coffee making facilities in bedrooms. Rooms in need of updating carpet curtains, etc.
Hotel was really nice, staff friendly and helpful. Only complaint was bed was a bit too hard.
100% excellent from location through to the hotel itself . Could not find any fault with anything. Totally recommend this hotel for a wonderful stay. Starting to save for my next trip.
The hotel is in an excellent location, a quiet street off main busy road, yet only 10 mins walk to Danube River and Margit Hid bridge. Tram 2 terminus is 10 mins walk away that runs down along side of Danube into city centre, also other trams across the bridge, and Metro station and buses close by. Several excellent restaurants and bars close by too.
Room was medium sized, looked out onto covered courtyard with opening window. As others have said, carpet did have a few small stains from previous users accidents, BUT it was clean as was the room and bathroom. We found bed was comfortable and slept well. Bathroom was a bit cramped, but modern and an excellent walk in shower. Room had air conditioning (though we did not need to use it) a mini bar, flat screen TV, digital lock safe, plenty storage space for clothes. Room wifi worked well, and also a wired LAN connection cable. Breakfast buffet was good, though could be busy around 8am. Despite my dislike of serve yourself coffee machines, the coffee was good. Tea also available with tea bags and hot water. Hot and cold food selection, which we enjoyed. Reception staff always pleasant and helpful, we would certainly stay here again, and loved Budapest.
Attractive hotel. Our room was clean and comfortable. However, breakfast is chaotic if there are a lot of guests. The staff do their best but are not able to replenish quickly enough also, there could be a better selection of food.
Nice hotel, very helpful staff.
Comfortable, clean, efficient hotel. Courteous helpful staff. Happy with the whole experience of staying there.
We could not fault the hotel in cleanliness, staff, position, location, food - 5 stars.
Would like a hotel with a restaurant so that we could have eaten in when we came back tired from sightseeing. Difficult to adjust the heating as we found the room very hot at night.
A nice hotel in a superb location with pleasant rooms and adequate space. Unfortunately this hotel is let down badly with it\\\'s breakfasts. The cold selection was OK but the hot selection we could not eat, it was cold and you could cut the scrambled eggs in slabs. The fruit juices on offer were watered down until they were almost tasteless. There were not enough staff on duty in the dining room to cope with the early morning rush and the coffee machine ran out off ground coffee every morning and had to be supplemented by pots of coffeee prepared in the kitchen but had to waited for.
