The hotel Savoy is a delightful small hotel in a quiet side street but within easy of walking distance of the main shopping areas and an abundance of restaurants and bars. My single room was charming and very spacious. The breakfast room was small but this was not a problem when I stayed. In an ideal world the Savoy would be portable, to take with me to other destinations.
It was a friendly hotel in the heart of the city. The staff were polite, friendly and helpful. The room was excellent and very clean. The only gripe I have were the breakfasts were limit in choice. Perfectly healthy food but limited by a lack of variety. They had a large key for my room. I prefer a card which I can carry around in my pocket/wallet.
Hotel overall was very good. Room was better than 3 star. Staff v. good and helpful. Reasonably positioned to main part of town.
Really nice small hotel. Old fashioned deco and very well kept - no shabby areas. Spacious room with separate toilet. Good position near restaurants and fairly near transport. Helpful staff.
Family run hotel with classic Viennese colours and furnishings. 42 large rooms with separate ensuite bathroom and toilet in each. Tea & coffee making facilities in room and free Wifi. Lift and stairs available. Continental breakfast served in smallish room. The hotel situated very close to the main expensive, shopping area and within easy access of museums, tourism buses and a wide variety of restaurants & cafes.
Lovely features to add ambience of Vienna. Personal touches like toiletries were much appreciated.
Room comfortable but would have liked more space. Hotel in walking distance of centre. Felt staff could have been more helpful.
Centrally located, comfortable hotel. Very limited space in public areas. Room nice.
Friendly and helpful staff. Hotel in a good and quiet location, short walk to metro with links to all parts of city, also reasonable (10 min) walk to city centre attractions - museums and historic sights & with restaurants very close by. Breakfast room quite small and cramped at busy times. Limited choice breakfast (continental style). Large spacious bedroom with ensuite. No tea/coffee making facilities in rooms.
Very traditional hotel. Massive room with attractive furniture. Lack of air-conditioning was a problem when daytime temperatures were 34 degrees. Small breakfast room and simple breakfast. Good location.
Very pleasant, clean and well kept hotel. Reception friendly and helpful. Convenient for shopping, sights and transport. Good-sized rooms with good basic facilities. Lifts to bedrooms, but steps to climb to reception area. Breakfast room small, but very pleasant. Good, assorted cold buffet.
Good, small hotel. V small breakfast room (at peak times needed to overflow to small public area) Breakfast selection usual fare. No bar or cafe type facility (Mini-bar in room) Five minutes to nearest subway, excellent helpful staff.
This is a small hotel which is ideally situated on a quiet street very close to the city centre and immediately beside a metro station, Staff were very friendly and helpful and the hotel was very clean. If we return to Vienna we would be very happy to return to this hotel.
A charming family run hotel with friendly and helpful staff. Location excellent 15 minute walk to Museumquater and a few minutes more and you are in heart of city.
Very helpful staff. Small but very comfortable.
Falls short of the 5 star as the breakfast room is very small, only continental breakfast and the food choice/quality falls below the other two hotels (that we stayed in) But, it did have a separate toilet & bathroom.
Very clean & tastefully furnished.
Excellent. Very helpful staff.
A small hotel with basic but good facilities. Quite a good location near to the city, shops and museums. The staff were friendly & the hotel was clean. Good value for money.
The staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful, and the room was very nice - spacious, comfortable and quiet. The hotel was conveniently located for getting to the city sites. Breakfast was basic but adequate, and the breakfast room rather cramped.
Nice old world charm, reception very friendly & helpful. Many steps up to reception area from street though.
