Rialto in Barcelona

Our opinion… The Rialto Hotel is one of Barcelona’s most central hotels and occupies a great location in the heart of the tourist and shopping area of the city. It was within this historical building that the artist Joan Miro was born.

Location… A great location in the Gothic Quarter close to the cathedral.

Accommodation… 207 air-conditioned bedrooms with private facilities, telephone, TV, minbar & safe

Facilities… Restaurant & snack bar

Transport… Nearest metro Liceu.

The hotel was adequate - the room large enough, though very dark. There was a small window with obscured glass to disguise the outside views!! Position regarding places of interest was very good.

Hotel was fine - excellent location.

From arriving at the Hotel Rialto. Staff in all areas very helpful & polite. A very good stay. Would stay again.

This was a lovely hotel, it had everything I wanted (apart from tea & coffee in the room). Nice breakfast. Clean rooms, Great location.

The hotel is fine for a short city break. Although the booking was B&B there is a restaurant, which I didn\'t use because there are dozens of restaurants, bars and cafes nearby to chose. The hotel is really handy for buses and metro, Playa de Catalunya, where the tour buses start, is about 10 minutes away, and the hotel staff will get you a taxi if you want one. It\'s a 3 star hotel, so the amenities are limited, but it has everything you need, including very helpful staff.

The hotel Rialto was central which provided easy access to all visiting destination within the city. The hotel room was as expected perhaps one criticism would be that it did not provide tea/coffee facility in our room. We would rather have that than the TV. But on the whole 9/10.

Very central location, and surprisingly not that noisy, as our room overlooked a courtyard. We were woken by rubbish collectors early each morning, but otherwise it wasn\\\'t too noisy, even though we were there in the middle of a festival. Ample choice at breakfast, and plenty of it. Breakfast area noisy and not that relaxing, but the amount of choice offset that.

Hotel was well placed and clean, tidy and well decorated. Room was on the small side but adequate. Downside was no tea & coffee making facilities and no hot drinks available outside of meal times.

Hotel room very clean, breakfast excellent, couldn\\\'t find a more central location. Only negative - 2€ per day charge for use of safe.

The room was clean and roomy. The location was excellent for us (central). It was very noisy (as it was central of course) There was no/tea coffee making facilities in the room and the hairdryer had to be asked for (10€ deposit). Staff very helpful!
September 2013
The hotel is perfectly situated in the heart of the city, so excellent for connections & fantastic restaurants etc. The maid staff were very friendly but we found the waiting & reception staff unfriendly and not very helpful. When I read the hotel review on line & facilities offered showed tea & coffee making facilities and fridges in the room, this was not the case for our room. A vending machine was available on our floor but this was not what was advised. Overall the hotel was clean & tidy, if a little unfriendly.
