Amalfi in Rome

Our opinion… A delightful, family-run hotel, located a short distance from the Santa Maria Maggiore. Good selection of restaurants, bars and shops in immediate area.

Location…At your doorstep are Termini Station, the Colosseum, Piazza Venezia, Imperial Forum, Spanish Steps, and the Basilica of Santa Maria Maggiore.

Accommodation…The rooms are attractively decorated and extremely clean.

Facilities… The Amalfi offers a TV room, bar and breakfast room.

Transport… Nearest metro Termini Station. Cavour and Piazza Vittorio Metro stops are both 500 metres away.

We enjoyed the family run hotel. Loved ceiling 'fresco' in our room. We arrived to snow in Rome. Manage gave us extra heating in bathroom and supplied a 'non-slip' bathmat for us, when they didn't quite understand what one was.

The weather in Rome was extremely cold so it was lovely to return to the warmth and comfort of the Amalfi. All the staff were friendly and helpful. The location was ideal - within walking distance of the main station. The continental breakfast was excellent with a very wide choice. Very highly recommended.

Very pleasant, friendly owners and staff. Tastefully decorated. Comfortable bed, clean room with plenty of cupboard space. Good continental breakfast, nice atmosphere.
Lovely clean hotel, and staff freindly and helpful. Only MINUS was the LACK OF DRINKS MAKING FACILITIES IN ROOM. This may sound like carping, but it is really important when returning to your room in a hotel without restaurant facilities. We would return to this hotel, but would in future take our own drinks making equipment and sachets etc.

Excellent staff, if we visited Rome again we would keep this hotel in mind.

Airconditioning was not available to us, room very small. They stated switched off because not needed but it was hot. Opened window and we were pestered at night with mosquitos, we had bites to prove it. No tea or coffee available only fridge bar. The amount we paid we think could have included tea and coffee making equipment.
