Our opinion… A short walk from the Vatican and the Sistine Chapel, Hotel dei Consoli opened in 2000, is a charming hotel, and offers guests excellent hospitality in an atmosphere of elegance and imperial splendour.

"In the north of Rome this hotel is carved out of a former private house ina quiet side street. The lcoation is extreamely convenient for St Peters and the Vatican museums within 15 min walk of the Piazza del Popoli. THe staff were most welcoming and helfpul. Breakfast room is on the roof and would allow you to eat out of doors in warm weather and there is a small bar on the first floor. Showers have jacuzzi fittings. The decor is traditional and in good order. "

"Room was small but well finished and hotel near to vatican city. Staff friendly and helpful and roon clean and tidy. Breakfast on an upper terrace which was different and lovely on a sunny day. Only drawback for us was the coffee which was not to our taste but typical italian!"

"THE HOTEL IS IDEALLY SITUATED FOR THE VATICAN BEING A 5 MINUTE WALK AWAY. THERE IS ALSO A BUS TERMINUS AND METRO NEARBY MAKING IT EASY TO TRAVEL TO OTHER PLACES OF INTEREST IN ROME. THE HOTEL HAS AN OLDE WORLD CHARM AND IS VERY COMFORTABLE. THE HOTEL STAFF WERE VERY HELPFUL AND INFOMATIVE. BREAKFAST WAS SERVED ON THE ROOF TERRACE AND PROVIDED SPECTACULAR VIEW OF ROME. THE STANDARD OF BREAKFAST WAS EXCELLENT AND INCLUDED FRUIT AND ALSO WAITER SERVICE FOR HOT DRINKS"
